Problems with Email
If you are having problems receiving or sending email, you need to go through a series of steps to determine exactly where the problem exist.
Step 1: Testing Web Mail
Doing the first test using web mail will let you know if you have the correct password and if your email address testemail@yourdomainname.com is set up correctly.
- Go to the internet access to your email. If your web hosting is with A Safer Company then go to http:yourdomainname.com/webmail/. Note: you must have your userid and password.
- If you can get to your email through the internet access, then your email is working but you may not be receiving it through Outlook.
- Try to send an email from testemail@yourdomainname.com to another email address. It is easiest to use an email address that you can quickly see the email. For example: if you are testing a business email address, then send your test email to a personal email address.
- After you verify that the test email was received, you know your send email is working correctly.
- Try to send an email to testemail@yourdomainname.com from another email address. For example: send an email from you personal email address to testemail@yourdomainname.com. If you do not have a personal email address, you can ask a friend to help you with this test.
- Once you have received the email sent to testemail@yourdomainname.com you know your receive mail is working correctly.

Step 2: Testing Microsoft Outlook
- Recheck your Microsoft Outlook set up by reviewing the directions. Remember
- Upper case (capital letters) and lower case letters can not be interchanged.
- Spaces also make a difference.
- Try to send an email from testemail@yourdomainname.com to another email address. It is easiest to use an email address that you can quickly see the email. For example: if you are testing a business email address, then send your test email to a personal email address.
- After you verify that the test email was received, you know your send email is working correctly.
